Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how the StudyOrbit iOS application, its widgets and Live Activities, and the StudyOrbit website at studyorbit.nawaeurope.com handle information. It applies to the current version of StudyOrbit described on this website.
“StudyOrbit,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer and publisher of the StudyOrbit application operating through Nawa Europe. “You” refers to the student, parent, guardian, teacher, or other person using the app or website.
Who operates StudyOrbit
StudyOrbit is published by Adel Ramzy and operates under the Nawa Europe brand. Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy can be sent to support@nawaeurope.com or through the StudyOrbit Support page.
Information handled by the app
Information entered or imported by the user
- Timetable information, including subject names, class times, and rooms.
- Assignments, deadlines, estimated study time, priorities, and completion status.
- App preferences, such as appearance and reminder choices.
- A timetable image or screenshot selected through Apple’s system photo picker.
The current app stores timetable, assignment, and preference data locally on the device in the app’s container and shared App Group used by the StudyOrbit widget extension. StudyOrbit does not operate an account database or receive this information on a developer-controlled server.
Timetable image processing
When a user selects a timetable image, StudyOrbit temporarily reads that image in memory using Apple’s on-device Vision text-recognition technology. The app uses the recognized text to suggest subjects, rooms, and times. StudyOrbit does not upload the selected image and does not save a separate copy of the original image. The user reviews the detected result before using it.
Information StudyOrbit does not currently collect
- Names, email addresses, passwords, or user profiles.
- Precise or approximate location.
- Contacts, microphone recordings, health information, or payment-card details.
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking information.
- Analytics events linked to a student or device.
Why information is used
Information stored by the app is used only to provide the features the user requests:
- Build the daily class route and identify the current and next class.
- Organize assignments into suggested focus blocks.
- Generate packing, deadline, and morning reminders.
- Display selected schedule information in widgets and Live Activities.
- Remember app appearance and accessibility preferences.
StudyOrbit does not use student information for advertising, profiling, eligibility decisions, or sale to data brokers.
Device permissions and system features
Photos
StudyOrbit uses Apple’s photo picker. The user selects a specific image; the app does not request unrestricted access to the entire photo library.
Notifications
If enabled, StudyOrbit schedules local notifications for the morning summary and assignment deadlines. Notifications can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings.
Widgets and Live Activities
When the user adds a widget or starts a Live Activity, schedule information can appear on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, StandBy, or supported Always-On displays. Anyone able to view the unlocked or visible screen may see that information. StudyOrbit avoids displaying grades or highly sensitive information by default. The user can remove widgets, end a Live Activity, or disable Live Activities in iOS Settings.
No location permission
The current version does not request or use device location.
Children and students
StudyOrbit is designed to be usable by students of different ages. Its current privacy-first design does not require an account, include behavioral advertising, create public profiles, or transmit timetable and assignment content to StudyOrbit servers.
Parents and guardians should help younger students choose appropriate Lock Screen information and notification settings. Students should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information, such as medical details, identification numbers, passwords, or confidential school records.
If a future feature requires collection or transmission of personal information from a child, StudyOrbit will introduce the necessary age-appropriate notice, parental or guardian controls and consent mechanisms before enabling that feature, as required by applicable law.
Retention and deletion
Timetable, assignment, and preference data remains on the device until the user changes it, uses Settings → Erase all StudyOrbit data, or removes the app and its extensions. Ending a Live Activity removes the active Lock Screen presentation. Removing a widget removes that widget’s display.
Because the current app does not maintain user accounts or a developer-controlled database, there is normally no app-account data for the developer to delete remotely. Website server logs are addressed below.
Security
StudyOrbit reduces privacy risk by minimizing information, processing timetable images on the device, avoiding accounts, and avoiding advertising and analytics SDKs. App data benefits from iOS device protections and the security settings chosen by the device owner.
No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Users should protect their device with a passcode and review what appears on the Lock Screen, especially when a timetable contains information they consider sensitive.
Website data
The StudyOrbit presentation website does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, account cookies, or contact-form tracking. The hosting and network providers may automatically process limited technical request data—such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time, and security logs—to deliver the website, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults.
Such technical logs are handled by the relevant hosting and network providers according to their operational, security, and legal obligations. StudyOrbit does not use those logs to build student profiles or combine them with app data.
If a visitor chooses an email link, the email service providers used by the visitor and StudyOrbit will process the message and associated addresses to answer the request.
Privacy rights
Depending on location, a person may have rights relating to personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Most StudyOrbit app information can be reviewed, changed, or erased directly on the device.
For questions about website logs or an email previously sent to StudyOrbit, contact us using the details below. We may need sufficient information to identify the relevant request while avoiding collection of unnecessary identity documents.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change when StudyOrbit introduces new features, service providers, distribution territories, or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated in the app before the changed processing begins.
